In all applications, the rock base depth, material and how well it is packed is a determining factor of  drainage and LBC. 

Stalls/Run In Sheds

Rock Base of at least 2-6"

Smaller porous base of 1-2" *optional  if rock base is difficult to level

Install grid and make cuts if needed

Inspect grid to make sure all connections are secure and grid is seated properly

Fill Grid with a fine grained, sharp porous material

Tamp/Water/Pack

Bedding

Gate/Water Tub/Paddock

Rock Base of 2-6" (or more if desired)

Smaller porous base of 1-2" may be used if rock base is hard to level

Layer of soil for nutrients if grass is being planted of 2-6"

Install grid and make any trims necessary

Inspect grid installation to ensure that all connectors are fastened securely and make sure grid is seated properly on base

Make sure all edges are backfilled

Fill Grid with a sandy/loamy soil and plant seed

Pack/Tamp/Water

Keep area watered regularly until filled in

Grass Driveway

Rock Base of 4-20" deep depending on use

Layer of soil for nutrients of 2-6"

Install Grid

Inspect grid to make sure that all connectors are secure and make sure the grid is seated securely on base

Make sure all edges are backfilled

Fill Grid with a sandy/loamy soil and plant seed

Tamp/Pack/Water

Water regularly
