Farm Uses
The Stable Grid System pattern consisting of octagons and small squares provides extreme load bearing capacity as well as cell openings small enough to prevent accidents with small hooves. Stable Grid was originally engineered for livestock unlike some of our competition. Our edges are rounded and we have no spikes, or sharp protrusions. There are no separate fasteners to buy. Because we are an American company our size is a standard 18x24 which means less cuts and rarely any waste. This is the long awaited solution to a permanent, solid, one-piece, permeable ground treatment which will keep your top layer of choice forever separated from the lower layers while allowing excellent drainage. Outdoor paddocks and run in sheds can be dry and usable 365 days per year . . not to mention a snap to clean! Horse stalls will drain immediately leaving dry bedding behind - the savings on bedding will more than pay for the installation and the stalls will stay completely level - no more dips and holes. When used at gates and in aisles, Stable Grid will have the look of concrete but will be easy on the horse and have excellent traction - or you can grow grass through the grid at gate areas and the grid will be "invisible". The same is true for walkways and driveways. When used in round pens and arenas, the base will be permanently level and a top layer of 1.5 to 3 inches of sand, rubber crumb mix or any other footing material will be more than sufficient. Horses love it . . . and so do their owners! Stable Grid is also being used for erosion problems. When installed with a fill layer of topsoil and planted with grass seed or sod, roots are protected and wear is eliminated. Great for use in Grass Paddocks or just along the fence lines where horses tend to leave a path or at the gates and water tubs to eliminate the bare spot. The uses for our Stable Grid are unlimited. It is easier to install and more affordable than the competition.
